​How to help
Its easy! The Jay Deason Fund is a 100% volunteer-based organization. Each event provides an opportunity to get involved through participation or volunteering. We can be contacted through the website or contact information found on event brochures and organizational literature.

REACH Scholarships
The Jay Deason Memorial Scholarships are given out each year to aspiring students at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) in Tifton, Georgia. Applicants are encouraged to contact the college for details.
Tools for School
The Jay Deason Fund utilizes 100% of its raised funds to its causes. Aside from the scholarship giving, the Jay Deason Fund allocates raised funds to the school system's social workers to help provide much needed school supplies to the area's homeless students.


HOW TO GET INVOLVED

The Jay Deason Fund holds and annual community golf event in which members of the community are asked to come together for a good cause. 2023's event saw great participation and raised over $17,500! Check out the Golf Event Page for more info.
Join us Thursday, May 7th for the 19th Annual Jay Deason Memorial Golf Tournament as we remember our dear friend and raise money for several youth-based local causes. By donating and/or coming out to play, you will be supporting multiple causes focused on improving the lives of our Tift Area youth. Since 2007, the Jay Deason Fund (JDF) and it's supporters have raised and contributed over $250,000 locally, which includes over $55,000 to the Tools for School program for the Tift County School system's homeless and at-risk children.

- JDF Sports Scholarship Program at the Tift County Rec Dept
- The Called to Care - Foster Children Christmas Program
- Ruth’s Cottage Christmas Support

- Santa’s Helpers Christmas
- YMCA's Christmas Extravaganza,
- The Teen Maze event for Tift County 9th grades
- TCCCY's Back to School Bash
- Go Light Up Your World event against gang activity
